This Venue has a great atmosphere. It's a bit small but the acoustics are fantastic. It's a well kept secret that needs to become less of a secret. This bar fills a hole that was left on Whyte after Filthys left the Ave. Awesome staff. Quick service and the right music.
Was exploring Whyte Ave looking for a place to eat at on Friday night. I felt out of place with all the young college kids running about, felt like I was in a daycare. Saw this place and stopped inside, felt perfectly at home in this mature place. Lisa the bartender is a complete sweetheart taking excellent care of all of her guests. I had a diet coke with Cajun chicken Greek salad. The salad was surprisingly delicious but my coke was flat. I'll definitely be back!
Awesome rock bar. Good food. Crazy cheap drink specials if your on a budget. I really dig the laid back atmosphere, and chill vibe. Crisp, well maintained washrooms, which is a huge win in my books.
We had an impromptu drop in here. They had tarot card readers. Which was super fun. Place has a great esthetic. Very chill and welcoming vibe. Matt, the owner, was chatty and engaging. We will certainly be returning for more drinks and conversation.
Went into Blakbar for the first time for Sunday brunch. Had this amazing crab cake eggs benedict with avocado (12)and a French press of delicious coffee (5). The food was great and the establishment is clean and welcoming. I'll definitely be back!
This place rocks! I went here to see some death metal bands with a friend and they have bands like these every Friday and Saturday. I will definitely be returning. The shows were high octan, the mosh pits were great, the people were awesome and very friendly. I loved every second of it. If you love a good heavy metal show this is a great place to go. The beers were brands i had never heard of but they were good none the less.
Great atmosphere and classic movies playing in the background of punk music . Excellent food that you would not expect in a punk Bar :)
I went here to watch some bands play. It's cozy. There are small booths that can accommodate 2 people comfortably, or 4 people packed in. There are nice vantage points of the stage from most seats, unless people are standing up and right by the stage. I was pleased to have some popcorn which induced drinking more making for an enjoyable time at a local show.
